Course Description: The Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course, accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA), offers a comprehensive training program for participants aiming to either achieve their initial certification or renew their credentials. The curriculum is rooted in the latest guidelines and research, ensuring all learners are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide effective life support in emergency situations.
Course Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will be proficient in:
Understanding the critical importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on survival.
Recognizing when CPR is needed.
Performing high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
Utilizing an automated external defibrillator (AED) appropriately.
Executing effective ventilations using a barrier device.
Participating effectively in a multi-rescuer resuscitation team, assuming both leadership and team member roles.
Managing respiratory and cardiac arrest situations.
Course Content: The curriculum includes:
Updates and key changes in basic life support, reflecting the latest AHA Guidelines for CPR & ECC.
Essential concepts of high-quality CPR and the American Heart Association Chain of Survival.
Techniques for 1-Rescuer and 2-Rescuer CPR and AED use across all ages.
Detailed instruction on differences between adult, child, and infant rescue techniques.
Practical training on bag-mask techniques for adults, children, and infants.
Comprehensive overview of rescue breathing and choking relief methods for all ages.
Certification: Upon successful completion of the course, which includes a written test and a skills demonstration, participants will receive a BLS Provider course completion card. For new certifications, this card is valid for two years. Those renewing their certification will have their validity extended for an additional two years, affirming their continued competence in BLS practices.
