Sierra BLS, LLC invites healthcare professionals to elevate their careers by becoming certified instructors of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). This instructor certification course is designed for individuals who are already utilizing ACLS skills within their professional practice and wish to share their knowledge by teaching others. The course prepares participants to effectively deliver ACLS training, emphasizing the importance of high-quality CPR, advanced airway management, and effective communication and leadership within resuscitation teams.

Target Audience: This course is specifically intended for healthcare professionals licensed in fields that require the use of ACLS skills, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and respiratory therapists. Ideal candidates must possess current ACLS and BLS Provider cards and have a strong desire to teach and mentor others in these critical life-saving techniques.

Pre-Course Requirements:

• ACLS and BLS Provider Certification: Participants must hold current ACLS and BLS Provider cards, demonstrating proficiency in the skills and knowledge they will be teaching.
• Professional Licensure: Candidates must be currently licensed in a healthcare profession where ACLS skills are applied.
• ACLS Instructor Essentials: Candidates are required to complete the ACLS Instructor Essentials Course online through the American Heart Association (AHA) before attending this instructor course. This online module lays the groundwork for becoming an effective ACLS instructor.

Course Objectives: Upon completion of the ACLS Instructor Certification Course, participants will:

• Understand and apply AHA guidelines for ACLS and BLS in a teaching environment.
• Demonstrate effective teaching strategies for adult learners, including the use of multimedia and hands-on practice to enhance learning.
• Conduct ACLS courses in accordance with AHA policies and procedures, ensuring a standardized and high-quality training experience for all students.
• Evaluate and provide constructive feedback to students, fostering their skills development and confidence in ACLS procedures.
• Manage and organize ACLS courses, including course planning, equipment setup, and record keeping.

Certification: Participants who successfully complete the course, including a monitored teaching session, will receive an ACLS Instructor certification card valid for two years.
